Does The Bible Need To Be Rewritten?

     The bible is a book of stories which by all accounts seem true. Christ followers know the bible’s stories are centered around geographical places such as Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Nazareth, Egypt, Israel, Gaza, Syria, Judah, Ethiopia, Persia, Mesopotamia, etc., to name a few. None of these places spoke English during the overall history of the bible or at that time as English was not even spoken on the planet as yet.

     The biblical stories are originally told by those in their native tongue. The language, Aramaic, is almost extinct at present yet there are still a few people which speak and can interpret this language. 

     Let’s say for example an incident involving someone was witnessed. The witness told the incident to a friend. The friend told the incident to someone else. The continued re-telling of the story may slant the truth. This does not mean that the incident did not occur, only that there are versions.

      The Greeks translated the Jewish Scriptures, in Alexandria, Egypt and was translated between 300-200 BC. This Greek translation was produced because many Jews spread throughout the empire were beginning to lose their Hebrew language. During the translating of the Jewish scriptures it took 70 scholars which sat down together, carefully studied in order to translate the transliterations to which the scholars agreed. This process “Septuagint” means seventy in Latin, and the text is so named to the credit of these 70 scholars. As of date there are many versions of the Bible such as, KJV, NRSV, NIV, Webster’s, The Geneva Bible, Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance, The Woman’s Bible by Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Ethiopic, etc.

The following is an example of a story in the bible which may have been altered.

     The Greek Gnostic scribes changed the name of our Messiah from “Yahuwshuwa” (Joshua) to “IeoHsuS,” which comes from the Ancient Mystery Religion of Nimrod and his mother/wife Semiramis. After Nimrod died, Semiramis gave birth to a son on December 25th and she named him “Tammuz” (Ezekiel 8:14). She claimed that Nimrod had impregnated her with the rays of the sun (symbolized by the sun-burst on the image above). Cited source: Maria Merola אריאל

     In summary having all of that said, the question still remains “Does the bible need to be rewritten? My answer No the Bible does not need to be rewritten. Thank you for taking the time to read my article.
